After making sure that your QuickBooks application is updated to the latest version, try sending the payroll again. Here are the steps to follow to achieve the same:

Step 1: Got to ‘PayRoll services’ under the ‘Employee’ tab and then go ahead and click ‘Send Usage Data’ 

Step 2: If you are able to send the data successfully without any error popping up, your problem has been dealt with.

 This method is fairly simple. All you have to do is to check and find a paycheck that is stuck as ‘Online to Send’. Follow these steps to get that to work:

Step1: Go to the ‘Edit’ tab and click on ‘Find’ and then further proceed to click on ‘Advanced’.

Step 2: Now, go over and click on the ‘Choose Filter’ tab, here, look for the ‘FIlter List’ and select ‘Detail Level’.

Step 3: Click on the option that says ‘Summary Only’.

Step 4: Now, once again, go under the ‘Choose Filter’ tab, look for the ‘Filter List’, and select ‘Online Status’

Step 5: Open the drop-down list on the right-hand side and select the option that says ‘Online to Send’

Step 6: Finally, click on the ‘Find’ button to check all the unsent paychecks.

This method includes using the ‘Verify and Rebuild Data Tool’. Let’s see how to do that in a few simple steps:

Step 1: Even though we have mentioned it time and again, we’ll still mention it, just to be safe. Make sure that you have a backup of your files before running this tool or using any troubleshooting method in general.

Step 2: Make sure your QuickBooks is updated for this one!

Step 3: Laun the QuickBooks application and go under the ‘File’ menu to select ‘Utilities’ and then proceed to click ‘Verify data’.

Step 5: If you see a pop-up saying ‘Your data has lost integrity’ then that means that your file is damaged and needs to be fixed.

Step 6: Now, go to ‘File’ again, select ‘Utilities’ and proceed to click ‘Rebuild Data’.

Step 8: Select a location on your desktop to save your backup file and click ‘ok’.

Step 9: Once the backup file is saved, the rebuild will start automatically. Let the rebuild finish through. Once done, click ‘ok’

Step 10: Now, Verify the file once again to make sure no errors are popping up. You can now proceed to backup your file by selecting the ‘Backup’ option from the ‘File’ menu.
