Google Shopping Ads Management Services Agency

Google Shopping: how to advertise your products

Google is the most used search engine in the world, and online merchants can take advantage of its services. With Google Shopping Ads Management Services Agency, you can showcase your products to attract visits, traffic, and sales through ads.

What is Google Shopping?

Google Shopping can be defined as a search engine for online shopping.

Online shoppers enter a product name or description in the search bar, and Google shows them the corresponding products sold by various online retailers.

Users can search for the desired products in the normal Google search bar and then click on the “Shopping” tab.

You can also go directly to Google Shopping by typing in the search bar.

All products that are shown on the Shopping tab are paid advertisements.

Google Shopping Ads Management Services Agency is therefore not a sort of marketplace or a real online store, but an overview of the search results, which in turn redirects to the product pages of the individual online stores.

Just like in Google Ads, those who want to have their products appear on Google Shopping will have to pay for each click on the ad.

Products appear higher or lower on the results page based on keyword relevance, so similar to SEO rankings.

Why should you use Google Shopping?

Google is the most used search engine in the world, which is why choosing to show your products on Google Shopping is certainly profitable.

Online shoppers will not only see a photo of the product when they search but also the price directly. You can often also see Google’s star rating for individual products. This makes Google Shopping a price and product comparison site in a way.

Additionally, some ads appear above organic search results and usually also above conventional text ads on the search results page under the “All” tab.

In this way, the reach of users who can see the ads is even greater.

NOTE: As I argued during the Coronavirus, Google has decided to offer online retailers the ability to advertise their products for free.

How do you set up Google Shopping?

To use Google Shopping, you need a Google account, so you can access the Google Merchant Center and Google Ads services, tools that are used to upload product information and plan your campaigns and ads.

Getting started shopping on Google is relatively easy. However, it should be noted that the Google Shopping settings and options are very varied.

Google Merchant Center and Google Ads

First, you need to create an account in the Merchant Center. Here you will then need to verify your site’s domain online and provide information about your company and store.

Once these settings are complete, the next step is to link your Merchant Center account to your Google Ads account.

The two tools work together to some extent: the Merchant Center is used to collect data about your products, delivery options, and shipping costs, while Google Ads is used to create the ads.

Product feed

To create campaigns, Google needs product feeds.

The product data is transmitted in the form of so-called feeds (a sequence of contents). To do this, you will need to add at least one product to the Merchant Center.

After that, you can create a product feed. This feed can be sent to Google in various forms (e.g. via an Excel table).

The feed will contain various information about your products, such as product labeling, product description, and availability. Once created, feeds can also be manually updated at any time.

Create ads on Google Shopping

To place an ad on Google Shopping, you need to use Google Ads. You can choose between different types of campaigns. In the settings, you can select a shopping campaign.

Once the campaign has been saved, it will be authorized by Google. Once the authorization has taken place, you will be able to create the first pages of the products.
